I Am Poem

I Am Poem

I am a proud Cook islander

I wonder how my family in the Cook Islands doing

I hear my family cheering for me when I am getting a reward

I see my siblings hugging each other and looking after my parents

I want to become a basketball player or a rugby player

I am a proud Cook Islander

I pretend I am younger than I look

I feel happy when my friends and family a proud of me

I touch my ps4 controller when ever I am playing with my friends

I worry if I will ever become what I want to be

I cry whenever I am sad or whenever my family and friends are crying

I am a proud Cook Islander

I understand your love for me

I say kind things to my parents

I dream to get a good job

I try my hardest to help my family and look after them

I hope you are happy when you are older

I am a proud Cook Islander

Bullard's Speech

Good Morning Teachers and my learning whanau. My name is Bullard Tuarae. I stand here today to tell you why I should be a house captain. During this speech I am going to tell you some reasons why I want to be a house captain.

Firstly I would like to share all about myself.

I am a Cook Islander and I am proud of my culture. I am the youngest in my family and the most annoying sibling. I enjoy playing drums and ukulele. My favourite sports are rugby league and volleyball.

What a great leader looks like:

Responsibility

Showing fire and ace

Helping my learning whanau

Being prepared

Don’t be a Distraction

Anyone can be a leader but these are my reasons of how I can  be the best leader in Glen Taylor School:

I am confident in my learning and playing area

I look after my peers.

I am a great helper to all students in Glen Taylor School

I am a hard working student

I am kind, caring and very funny I can make everyone laugh

I am strong mentally and physically.

I protect my whanau

I believe I have the potential and courage to be your leader. I will be grateful if I am given an opportunity to serve you all.

I just want to say a big thank you to Mr Raj and Junior for helping me with my speech.

Up in the clouds

Up in the clouds

If I was in the clouds I would have called out to my family and say that I am going to die. Then I will be pissing my pants because I would be really afraid.

Then I will call out to my loved ones and say another day in paradise. My heart beated harder every time I looked down.

How is milk made

Mike is a very yummy drink. It is good for us and makes our bones strong.

This is how milk is made. It starts with cows and they eat 70kg of grass per day. Grass is really hard to digest so it takes them a while to break it down.

Cows have four stomachs. The grass goes through two stomachs, then it is squashed and burped up into a cud. The cud is burped up back into their mouths and chewed for another one minute so that it breaks down even more. The grass goes through the other two stomachs and is broken down even more into tiny pieces that goes into their blood stream.

It goes into udders and the cows wait to get milked. The cows then go into the milking shed and get milked. The milk goes into the holding tank and then into the separator.

In the separator, the milk is heated up really quickly and then cooled down . This is where the cream and milk gets separated. The milk is heated to 70 degrees. Then the milk is cooled to 3 degrees celsius.

The milk then goes to the factory so it doesn’t get contaminated. The milk has to be homogenized. This is when milk gets pushed through a filter.

Next then the milk gets bottle then it get send to shop and school.

love milk all the time nz.
